Questions people ask

What is astrocartography?

Astrocartography maps a birth chart onto the world. The planets that were rising, setting, overhead or underfoot at your birth become AC, DC, MC and IC lines across the globe. PairAstro calls the personalised result your Life Map and explains which cities sit near those lines.

Why do I need an exact birth time?

Because the whole calculation is anchored to the moment of birth. Four minutes of error shifts every line by about one degree of longitude — roughly 80 km. Without a time, the result would be fiction.

Should I actually move somewhere because of this?

No. Visas, work, money, family, language and safety are the real inputs to that decision. Use this the way you would use a friend’s recommendation: as one more thing to weigh, and an interesting reason to visit somewhere.

Why is my city not listed?

We check a reference list of major world cities. If your line passes over a smaller place, it will not show up. We are expanding the list over time.

What do AC, DC, MC and IC mean?

They are the four angles of a chart. AC is where a planet was rising — it colours how you come across. DC is where it was setting — it shows up through the people you meet. MC is where it was directly overhead — public life and work. IC is directly underfoot — home and private life.
